Writing has always been a favorite activity since I was young. Ironically, it was another favorite pastime --photography--which introduced me to the dynamic world of publishing. Although I never really had any formal training in photography, my first real job was as a photographer. I was a self-taught photographer, just as I was a self-taught journalist. Interestingly, I landed both jobs by chance.

In my twenties I worked for a British-owned publishing firm based in Hong Kong --first as a travel photographer, then as a journalist. Then I became a free lance writer and began writing for several inflight magazines, Asia Magazine and TV Times Hong Kong, which were both published by the South China Morning Post. At the same time, I became the editor of "Pockets of Knowledge and Fun," a children's magazine published in the Philippines. Later, I wrote two books for children: "Treasured Tales for Children" and "Great Kids!" Both were published and marketed in my native country, the Philippines.

After nearly a decade of writing, I took a sabbatical and delved into the healing arts . Now I am a freelance journalist based in the Philippines where I also have a private practice as a reiki therapist and teacher.

Aside from being a contributing writer to Suite101.com and Yahoo, I am also an accredited News Writer for Google News. I am a Content Developer for The Tuscan Turtle Inc. - a Paris based company that develops digital guides for tourists and iphone users.. I have a blog called Meandering Paths to Spirituality and Wellness, and I have a website on healing.
